The Landon family based the property in 1907, building their French impressed home, greenhouses, and other help buildings. In the 1920’s Jessie Landon invited the Olmsted Brothers to design a garden panorama to match the grandeur of their residence. The Lilly household purchased the property in 1932 and acquired the neighboring properties over the following few decades. They would ultimately donate the 56 acres to the Art Association of Indianapolis to construct an art museum and become what we know as Newfields right now. In the seventh episode of season two, “Hunting”, Cameron and Chase have a one-night stand.
