MVP Health Care introduces DualAccess Complete Plan for dual-enrolled Medicare & Medicaid beneficiaries

SCHENECTADY- MVP Health Care is proud to announce the launch of its DualAccess Complete Plan, a customer-centric Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) that is specifically tailored to improve the health care experience of dual-eligible Medicare and Medicaid customers (IB-Dual) in New York. Most of the US Medicare and Medicaid population suffers from three or more chronic conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis and depression, while also facing a higher burden from social determinants of health (SDOH), including access to safe housing, transportation and more. This innovative D-SNP plan is designed to break down traditional silos of care by empowering care managers to maintain communication with customers and their health care providers.

The DualAccess Complete Plan will be available starting July 1, 2023, and represents a major expansion of MVP’s initial Medicare Advantage D-SNP, launched in partnership with Belong Health. As the first D-SNP of its kind in New York State, the company’s initial offering was a significant step towards providing enhanced access to care.

With the DualAccess Complete Plan, MVP is taking its commitment to breaking down the traditional silos of care to the next level. By providing a more coordinated approach to addressing a customer’s health care needs, this new offering is poised to revolutionize the way that individuals receive care and support in the following counties across New York:

  • Albany County
  • Columbia County
  • Greene County
  • Rensselaer County
  • Saratoga County
  • Schenectady County
  • Dutchess County
  • Orange County
  • Putnam County
  • Rockland County
  • Sullivan County
  • Ulster County
  • Westchester County
  • Monroe County

With this innovative plan, customers will experience full integration between their Medicaid and Medicare benefits through a single carrier, complete with a unified member portal and ID card that streamlines their care and claim experience. The plan, designed with the customer in mind, makes it easier than ever before to access primary care, behavioral and specialty care, and community-based services, ensuring customers receive the care they need, when they need it, setting a new standard for health care in New York and beyond.

“At MVP, we’re committed to putting the customer first and pioneering a more customer-centric approach to care,” said Chris Del Vecchio, President and CEO at MVP Health Care. “Our DualAccess Complete plan is a testament to that commitment. By investing in a more seamless integration of benefits, we’re empowering customers with a simplified experience and a greater understanding of the benefits available to them. We’re continuously looking for new ways to improve care for traditionally underserved populations, and this initiative is a significant step toward achieving better health equity in the communities we serve.”

Dr. Carl Cameron, Chief Medical Officer at MVP Health Care, added, “We’re thrilled to embark on this transformative journey to deliver exceptional care and benefits integration. The launch of DualAccess Complete represents a massive, enterprise-wide effort to improve the healthcare experience of our Medicare and Medicaid customers. By bringing these benefits together, we’ve created a more unified healthcare experience that inspires customers to live their healthiest lives. We’re excited to see the positive impact this plan will have on our customers and communities.”
