Comparing health care costs at Utah hospitals, the patient rights group finds transparency problems

We just got out of our open enrollment period at The Tribune, and I wasn’t especially happy with what I saw this year. To The Tribune’s credit, our health insurance plan premiums didn’t rise. But everything else was bad news. You see, the deductible rose significantly — by 66% year-over-year. Senior physician warns of a crisis in one of BC’s busiest ERs

The most senior emergency physician at one of British Columbia’s busiest hospitals has come forward to warn the public about the ongoing crisis inside the emergency department, saying the situation has deteriorated to the point where some patients are waiting as many as three days to be admitted to other wards. PEI will need about 1,200 more healthy workers by 2032: forecast

The report by Halifax-based health-care consulting firm Health Intelligence says the province will need 1,194 more workers across all health disciplines by 2032.
