The report with data up to 2022 underscores a stagnation of health progress on key health indicators in recent years compared to trends seen during 2000-2015. It also alerts us to the growing threat of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and climate change, and calls for a coordinated and strengthened response.

Since the pandemic’s outbreak, the global use of disinfectants has gone through the roof. Clorox dramatically boosted the production of its wipe packs to 1.5ma day by mid-2021, and an industry trade group said 83% of consumers surveyed around the same time reported they had used a wipe disinfectant in the last week.

Protesters crash UCP announcement on affordability
Protesters temporarily derailed a UCP campaign event led by Danielle Smith on Thursday.
Three people carried signs and shouted health care concerns as the Conservative leader was escorted out of the room.
It all happened during an announcement about a discount to help Alberta seniors with various registry services and other fees.

Carleton Place bets on unique one-stop-shop health center in bid to draw doctors
At first, Peter Hamer thought the empty lot in Carleton Place, Ont., was destined to become a standard medical clinic.
With an estimated 4,000 residents in the area without a family doctor, the project would help address a need.
But as the work progressed, Hamer began to see the outline of “something much more interesting.”
