Looking for healthy foods when dining out? Nature’s Table sets opening date in Macon

A fast casual restaurant known for its healthy offerings is about to open below the Lofts at Navicent in Macon.

Nature’s Table at 781 Spring St., Suite 104, is expected to have its soft opening July 20, said franchisee Terrell Robertson, CEO of Robertson Holdings Inc.

“We wanted to bring something healthy, basically,” Robertson said. “We wanted to bring something that’s based around superfoods, which is what all of the recipes have inside of them, and it’s real high quality ingredients.”

The Macon location will be the first for this franchise brand in Middle Georgia and the first of three Nature’s Table stores that Robertson plans to open, including one in Warner Robins.

Robertson said he’s still scouting potential locations with an eye potentially on the Ga. 96 and Houston Lake Road area in Warner Robins. He expects to locate the other store in the vicinity of the Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur.

“So hopefully all three locations over the next 18 months will be open,” he said.

At this juncture, Robertson said he expects the planned Warner Robins store will be the third to open.

The Macon location

The grand opening for the Nature’s Table in Macon has also been set for July 31. Guests may receive a small acai bowl with the purchase of a regular menu item, according to Robertson.

In addition to acai bowls, the restaurant will offer protein bowls, heated and cold sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads and smoothies, Robertson said.

Vegan options will include vegan tomato basil soup and vegan chili, he said.

“We’re also doing fresh-pressed juices — not all locations offer the juice,” Robertson said. “We’re one of the few locations that offer the juice.”

The juices are “really, really good,” he noted.

“From a health standpoint, if you’re feeling down, it will perk you up,” Robertson said. “Literally, we take the fruit and vegetables and put them in the juicer and what comes out is what you get. So there’s no added sugar, no sweeteners that we add to it. It’s purely natural juice.”

Unlike some other Nature’s Table locations, the Macon and Robertson’s other franchise stores will not offer breakfast, he said.

Once the Macon store is open, customers will be able to place an order online at naturestable.com.

“We’re catering friendly,” Robertson said. “We are partners with ezCater so if anybody wants to cater or has small group orders, look for us on the ezCater marketplace. We’ll also be offering third-party delivery services such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.”

New to Middle Georgia

The Macon location is expected to be the third Nature’s Table to open in Georgia.

One of the other Nature’s Table locations is in the Alpharetta/Milton area and the other is in the International Terminal of Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Based in Orlando, Nature’s Table has about 60 locations and a few outside of Florida, Robertson said.

The Macon location is between Jimmy John’s and the former Dua Vietnamese Noodle Soup & The Fish Tank Poke Co., or Dua Fish Tank for short, which has closed.

“We feel that we have a product that people will actually want and feel good about eating,” Robertson said. “We have such a wide variety of different offerings that we believe that when you come in and you visit, there’s something on the menu that you’re going to be interested in.”

On spring vacation last year, Robertson and his family went down to Orlando to check out several Nature’s Table locations.

The food was consistent in taste and quality across all the restaurants visited, and that’s when the decision was made to bring Nature’s Table to the market, Robertson said.

“We’re super, super excited,” he said. “Everything is very tasty.”

Hours will be 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday and 11 am to 4 pm Sunday. The number is 478-733-4582.
