Students who have not yet uploaded their health insurance information or enrolled in Elon University’s new Student Blue health plan will be unable to register for classes until they have completed the health agreement form.
This form requires the student’s signature and acknowledges that either the student must waive the new health plan and upload their health insurance information or enroll in the plan and accept the extra charge on their tuition bill — which is $1,300 for undergraduate students and $1,900 for graduate students each semester. Completing this form is separate from needing to upload one’s current insurance information…

Former Trump advisor and political consultant Roger Stone is back in the news again. The “Unwinding” of Medicaid Coverage Will Be Difficult for Disabled Americans, Leave More People Uninsured
Many Americans are confused about what Medicaid actually is. In brief: Medicaid provides health insurance coverage to low-income adults, pregnant people, and children. Roughly 60% of people on Medicaid and CHIP, a program that extends Medicaid coverage for low-income children, are 26 years old or under. Medicaid is also the largest payer of long-term services and supports, another reason it is critical to millions of people.
I’ve been on Medicaid since I turned 18. It has been a lifeline because it provides personal-care services that allow me to live in the larger community rather than in a private facility. For…
More than 500,000 Texans have lost Medicaid coverage as the state re-evaluates those enrolled
More than 500,000 Texans have lost their Medicaid health insurance after more than three years of continuous coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data from the state’s health and human services commission.
Those affected are mostly children, young adults and new moms who had a child in the last three years. The Texans who lost their health insurance had coverage until the end of May or June, depending on when their case was processed, a spokesperson for the commission said.
