TOP RED LIGHT FACE MASK BENEFITS
Enhanced Collagen Production: One of the primary benefits of red light face masks is their ability to stimulate collagen production. Collagen, a protein responsible for maintaining skin elasticity, tends to diminish with age, leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Red light therapy can penetrate deep into the skin, activating fibroblasts that produce collagen, thereby promoting a more youthful and plump complexion. Regular use of red light face masks can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, leaving you with smoother, firmer skin.

England’s health service says it won’t give puberty blockers to children at gender clinics
LONDON — The publicly funded health service in England has decided it will not routinely offer puberty-blocking drugs to children at gender identity clinics, saying more evidence is needed about the potential benefits and harms.
The National Health Service said Friday that “outside of a research setting, puberty-suppressing hormones should not be routinely commissioned for children and adolescents.”
People under 18 can still be given puberty blockers in exceptional circumstances, the NHS says, and a clinical study on their impact on kids is due to start by next year.
Four new regional clinics are due to open later this year.…
As Sudan war rages, the country’s health system nears breaking point
LONDON — When electricity shortages closed the Ibrahim Malik Teaching Hospital where Dr. Mohamed Karrar worked, he packed a bag with any medical equipment and medicine he could carry.
“I posted on Twitter that I am an emergency doctor in Al Mamoura available at any time for anyone who needs me for free, along with my phone number,” Karrar said.
The doctor is one of many Sudanese medical professionals working in neighborhood primary health care centers amid the ongoing conflict in Sudan, where rival forces are battling for control of the country. Cease-fire talks that could end the bloody conflict…
Prince Edward Island News: health-care workers
CHARLOTTETOWN –
A report on Prince Edward Island’s ailing health-care system says the province needs about 1,200 additional workers over the next 10 years.
The report by Halifax-based health-care consulting firm Health Intelligence says the province will need 1,194 more workers across all health disciplines by 2032.
Health Intelligence says its forecast is based on the province’s plan to reform the health-system by adding more nurses, doctors and pharmacists to the network.
It says the province would only need 245 more health workers over the same period should the government implement a less ambitious reform.
The consulting firm says its…
Crisis in health care stems from work conditions, not a shortage of workers
It’s all about working conditions. At least that’s what Massachusetts nurses are saying about their colleagues’ decisions to leave bedside care positions in the state’s hospitals to find other work environments.
Massachusetts Nurses Association President Katie Murphy voices her concerns about the growing crisis in health care; she was a moderator at a virtual hearing on several legislative measures that would increase compensation, limit patient loads and address workplace violence held virtually on Monday, May 8, 2023.
“The nursing shortage is not real,” said Katie Murphy, who is assigned to the intensive care unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in…
Readers are Leaders – PHE America
I am not sure where I first heard the phrase “readers are leaders” but it is something that has stuck with me throughout my entire life. I am now in my second year of retirement from teaching and coaching after 37 years of doing both. As I have thought about what to do in my retirement, one thing that keeps coming back into my mind is the need to read some great books. I have always believed that reading can help you become the best version of yourself for others. When you are busy with coaching and teaching, like I…

Manitoba health minister says she hasn’t read report that says many health-care staff have considered quitting
Manitoba Health Minister Audrey Gordon says her department wasn’t aware of a year-old report making more than 30 recommendations to improve the well-being of the province’s health-care workers — and she herself has yet to read it.
The report called for numerous actions after finding more health-care workers in Manitoba who are dealing with burnout and thinking of changing jobs than elsewhere in Canada.
Gordon said the report, prepared by consulting firm Deloitte, wasn’t commissioned by the provincial Progressive Conservative government, but rather Shared Health, the provincial organization that co-ordinates health-care service delivery and planning across Manitoba.
The report in…
