In Colorado, one in nine children faces hunger, and nearly half of households receiving SNAP benefits have children, according to Feeding America. In 2018, a group of passionate citizens decided to address this self-statistical head-on. Junk food high in fat, salt or sugar (HFSS) is on the industry’s radar. In the UK, rules limiting the location of HFSS foods in shops have already come into play, and it’s expected that more junk food restrictions – including multibuy deals – are on the way.
